Samuel Joseph Oliver born November 16, 1995 departed this life on Wednesday – September 30, 2026 being 30-years old. Samuel was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Hattie Bowling Smith and the late Tony Oliver. Other than his father, Samuel was also preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Oliver; maternal grandparents, Rev. Samuel Bowling & Hazel Bowling; uncle, Rodney Oliver.

Samuel was a down to earth country boy, he was a Ford man when it came to vehicles. Sam loved to fish, he was a jack of all trades, could fix about anything. He was a great mechanic, something he truly enjoyed doing, but above all he loved his sons and family.

Samuel Joseph Oliver leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Ashley Oliver of Jeff, Kentucky; three sons, Samuel Oliver, David Oliver and Titus Oliver all of Jeff, KY; mother & step-father, Hattie Smith & Doyle of Upper Second Creek; brothers, Tony Earl Oliver & Chasity of Upper Second Creek and Golden Oliver & Leah of Jeff, KY; paternal grandfather, Earl C. Oliver of Lothair; also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation will be held for Samuel Joseph Oliver on Saturday – October 3, 2026 at the Victory Assembly of God in Hazard, Kentucky from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday – October 4, 2026 at the Victory Assembly of God at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Larry Downing and Pat Downing officiating. The Interment will follow in the Melton Cemetery located at Brownsfork, Kentucky.
