Sarah Ellen Bowling born June 8, 1937 departed this life on Sunday – October 5, 2025 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 88-years old.  Sarah was born at Farler, Kentucky the daughter of the late Henry Dillon and the late Mary Jane Williams Dillon.  Other than her parents, Sarah was also preceded in death by her husbands, Steve Butler and Chester Bowling, Jr.; sons, Michael Butler and Delmar Butler; sisters, Magdalene Perry, Chelsea Estep, and Josephine Dillon; grandchild, Betty Jane Dillon.

Sarah Ellen Bowling leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Teresa Campbell & Joe of Cassatt, South Carolina and Yvonne Smith & Randy of Hazard, KY; sons, Harlan Wayne Dillon & Sue of Missouri and Ricky Butler of Hazard, KY; step-daughter, Candy Bailey & Mike of Ohio; daughter-in-law, Linda Butler of Viper, KY; sister, Thelma Jean Williams of Viper, KY; special sister-in-law, Parmalee Mullins; special family member, Dan Dillon & Donna; special nephew, Bruce Estep & Peggy; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Sarah Ellen Bowling will be held on Thursday – October 9, 2025, at the Maple Street Church of God – 317 Maple Street – Hazard, Kentucky 41701 after 6:00 P.M. and will continue until Funeral time on Saturday. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday – October 11, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Maple Street Church of God with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. The Interment will follow in the Adams-Lewis Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky.
