Sheila Yvonne Hurt born December 5,1953 went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 27,2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 69-years old. Sheila was born in Letcher County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Franklin D. Holcomb and the late Mary Jane Whitaker Holcomb. Other than her Parents, Sheila was also preceded in death by her Husband, Michael G. Hurt and One Brother, James Holcomb. Sheila was a Member of the Petrey Memorial Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and being on the lake. Sheila loved being a Grandmother, Mother, and Devoted Wife and was loved and cherished by many.

Sheila Yvonne Hurt leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Two Sons, Christopher Hurt of Hazard, Ryan Odell Hurt of Hazard; Two Brothers, David Holcomb & Kim of Somerset, KY, J.B. Holcomb of Letcher County, KY; Sister, Lynn Adams & Ricky of Wolf Pen, KY; Granddaughter, Chloe Hurt. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Sheila Yvonne Hurt will be conducted on Sunday October 1, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Stacy officiating. The Interment will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery located in Hallie, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.
