Shelvia Jean Eversole, born March 4, 1963 departed this life on Saturday May 30, 2026 at her residence being 63-years old. Shelvia was born in Hazard, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Flint Watts and late Maudie Woods Watts. Other than her parents, Shelvia was also preceded in death by her son Ricky Russell; brothers, Kelly Watts, Danny Watts, Pearl Watts, Jack Watts, Johnny Watts, Flint Watts Jr.; sisters, Juanita Holland, Wanda Faye Begley, and Lucy Riley.

Shelvia leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: son, Joshua Russell; sisters, Ida Johnson, Aretha Profitt; special great nieces, Rihanna Huff, Tekiah Huff. A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Shelvia Jean Eversole will be conducted on Friday-June 5, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Funeral Service will follow on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Portia Combs officiating. The interment will follow in the Watts Family Cemetery in Hazard, Kentucky.
