Sherman Walker Jr. (Popeye) born July 8, 1938 departed this life on Wednesday-May 28, 2025 at his residence in Shepherdsville, Kentucky being 86-years old.  Sherman was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Sherman Walker and the late Mayme Walker.  Other than his parents, Sherman was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Faye Engle Walker; five brothers, and one sister.

Sherman was a truck driver for 45 years. Sherman was also a tank commander in the US Army. He loved hunting and fishing, and drinking beer.

Sherman Walker Jr.  leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: son, William H. Walker Campbell (Clersie); sister, Joyce Eversole; grandsons, William Fredrick, Joseph Eric, William Sherman Edward; also, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Sherman Walker Jr.  will be held on Saturday-May 31, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday June 1, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. BJ Campbell officiating. The Interment will follow in the Engle Family Cemetery in Ary, Kentucky.
