Sophia Renee Lewis, born December 29, 1975, she passed peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 50-years old. Sophia was born in Beaverdam, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bill Smith and Jina Smith. Other than her father Sophia was also preceded in death by her daughter Madison.

Sophia Renee Lewis leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: mother, Jina Smith; son, Hunter Lewis; daughter, Shelby Lewis; brother, Bill Smith; sister, Charley Smith (Chace Maggard); nephew, Parker Maggard; special friends, Whitney Ramey, Betty Barnett; and other Relatives & Friends survive.

Funeral Services for Sophia Renee Lewis will be conducted on Friday – July 31, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with James Cornett officiating. The Interment will follow at the Creekside Cemetery in Hazard, Kentucky. Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home Friday from 11:00-1:00 P.M.
