Stephen Paul Bingham, 67, of Hazard, KY, left this life surrounded by his daughters on February 10, 2024. Stephen, or to most, Steve, was born to Rufus Roberts Bingham and Edna Claire Napier Bingham on March 11, 1956, in Hazard, KY. He was a 1974 graduate of Hazard High School, where he was a well-known athlete. He earned the prestigious title of Eagle Scout and served the Boy Scouts of Hazard for several years. His life was spent building roads all over the country as a dozer operator for Bizzack and Greer Brother, and was a United Steelworker for most of his life. He loved his farm, horses, and German Shepherds and spending time outdoors. He spent more than a decade studying his family genealogy, authoring and co-authoring several books. Later in his life, Steve turned his heart over to God and spent his time studying the Bible.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Edna Bingham, two brothers, Rufus Bingham, Jr. and Timothy Bransford Bingham, a wife and the mother of his children, Debra Lynn Combs Bingham, and one son, Joshua Cain Bingham; Step-Daughter, Jan Herald. Steve leaves behind his Wife, Jennifer Bingham of Busy; daughters, Lori Anne Howard (Brad) of Busy, Erin Nicole Day (Jessie) of Viper, and Kari Lynn Deaton (John) of Busy; Step-Children, Rachel Brashear & Robert of Paris, KY, Clyde Herald of Central City, KY, William Strong of Busy, KY; Four Granddaughters, Madison Renae Howard, Kelsey Noel Howard, Shelby Lynn Stump, and Lilah Jayne Deaton; Step-Granddaughter, Lexis Morris of Hazard; two grandsons, Colson Gaige Stump and Declan Kain Stump. Two Brothers, Duard Hamm ( Helen) of Richmond, KY and Joseph Christopher Bingham (Linda) of Safety Harbor, FL. He is also survived by a host of nieces and a nephew.

Per his wishes, there will be a private, graveside service where he will rest beside his son.
