Stephen Thomas Lesondak, Jr. born April 24, 1947 departed this life on Friday January 6, 2023 at his residence in Chavies, Kentucky being 75-years old. Steve was born in Buckhanon, West Virginia the son of the late Stephen Lesondak, Sr. and the late Melva Miles Lesondak. Other than his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his Sister, Joyce Freeman and Step-Great-Grandchild, Tucker Roark.
Steve was retired from Union Drilling Company with 35-years of service, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Steve was a member of the County Line Community Church, had a passion for Drag Racing and was an avid collector of model dragsters. Steve was an avid baseball and football card collector, an avid wood worker, loved hunting, fishing, camping and cooking. Most of all Steve was a Christian and loved serving the Lord, and appreciated Mike Barnett and his guidance in his daily walk with the Lord.
Stephen Thomas Lesondak, Jr. leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife, Glenna Sue Lesondak of Chavies, KY; Two Sons, Tom Lesondak & Erynn of North Carolina and Chad Lesondak of Buckhanon, West Virginia; Two Brothers, Lawrence Lesondak & Patty of Buckhanon, West Virginia and Patrick Lesondak of Buckhanon, West Virginia; Sister, Lisa Evans & Wes of Buckhanon, West Virginia; Four Grandchildren, Chase, Zoey, Sarah and Brooklyn Lesondak; Three Step-Grandchildren, Kevin Tyler Fields & Lori, Meikeil Fields, and Ralph Williams; Two Great Grandchildren, Carson Fields and Diesel Roark; Trusty Travel Agent, Tammy Williams and her Husband Roger his faithful caregiver; Constant Fury Companion, Kringle; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Visitation for Stephen Thomas Lesondak, Jr. will be conducted on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 – 12:00. Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Anthony Mullins and Teddy Bailey officiating. The Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Hazard, Kentucky. Military Rites will be performed by the Hazard-Perry D.A.V. Chapter #64.
The family requests that everyone in attendance please wear a mask.
