Steven Todd Staten born December 29, 1962 departed this life on Saturday – January 10, 2026 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 63-years old.  Steven was born in Athens, Ohio the son of Dick Staten and Emily D. Teeuwissen.  Steven was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Richard Staten & Anna Elenor Barns-Staten; Maternal Grandparents: Glenn Sargent & Velma Sargent; Son: Howard Staten; Stepson: Dylan Henry; Uncles: Ronald Sargent, David Staten, Paul Sargent, Cecil Sargent, and Herb Sargent; Aunts: Natalie Hall and Madeline Murphy.  Steve love to play his guitar and listen to music.  He loved NASCAR, football and spending time with family.  He loved his dogs Tank, Cain and Buster.  Steve was a loving husband, father, and son & grandfather.  Steve was a Diesel Mechanic for most of his years working, and did some roofing & construction as well.

Teeuwissen & John; Siblings: Phillip Staten & Rachel Bolyard Staten and Jason Shook; Children: Steven Staten & Landon Wiley, Autumn Stacy & Justin Stacy, and Zachary Henry & Courtney Henry; Grandchildren: Joseph Stacy, Nicholas Stacy, Marcus Stacy, Elijah Stacy, Isaac Stacy, Isaiah Stacy, Maraina Ortiz, Rylan Higbee, Austin Wolinski, Harper Henry, Daniel Rush, and Babygirl Henry; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Steven Todd Staten on Saturday – January 17, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at 192 Georges Branch Road – Vicco, Kentucky 41773.
