Ulas Harold Thacker born February 16, 1952 departed this life on Wednesday November 20, 2024 at his residence in Krypton, Kentucky being 72 years old Ulas was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Clinton Thacker and the late Imogene Dean Thacker. Other than his parents, Ulas was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Thacker; brothers, Charles Ray, Gillis, Robin Darrell, Lewis and Delzie Thacker; sisters, Carolyn Cornetet, Mary Baker and Martha Combs. Ulas enjoyed dirt track racing, listening to sports radio, watching westerns and listening to Elvis.

Ulas Harold Thacker leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: sons, Ulas Harold Thacker, Jr. & Earlene of Busy, Shawn Michael Thacker of Harrison, OH, Jamie Daniels & Helen of Lost Creek, Odell Thacker of Krypton, KY; daughters, Nancy Ellen Thacker & Tiffany of Harrison, OH, Gladys Jean Sizemore & Gilbert of Scottsburg, IN, Corna Ann Rutherford & Michael of Somerset, KY; brother, Hubert Thacker & Paula of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Teresa Karr of Hazard, Corna Campbell of Yerkes; honorary family, The Colwell's; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Ulas Harold Thacker will be held on Sunday November 24, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M.– 1:00 P.M.  The Funeral Services will be held on Sunday November 24, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. B.J. Campbell officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Thacker Family Cemetery located at Krypton, Kentucky.
