William Morris Elsea of Somerset, KY formerly of Hazard born September 29, 1946 departed this life on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky being 77 years old. Morris was born in Sody Daisy, Tennessee the son of the late William Morris Elsea and the late Edith Shannon Elsea. Other than his parents, Morris was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Joseph & her husband, Johnny Joseph; brother, Harold Elsea; nephew, Johnny Preston Joseph. Morris was a Retired Teacher with Perry County Schools, mostly teaching at R.W. Combs. He loved his family & friends and spending time with his Grandchildren.

William Morris Elsea leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 51 years, Pat Elsea of Somerset, KY; son, Brian Elsea & Jessica of Russell Springs, KY; sisters, Nancy Campbell & Gerald of Licking, MO, Brenda Fowler & Ray of Canal Fulton, OH, Beverly Edwards of Hazard; grandsons, Conner Elsea, Ryan Thomas Elsea; special sister-in-law, Sharron Elsea of Grapevine, KY; special nephews, J.T. Elsea, Christopher Elsea, Nick Danner, A host of other relatives and friends survive. Serving as Pallbearers, J.T. Elsea, Christopher Elsea, Nick Danner, Lonnie Hurt, Kelly Fields and Brian Elsea.

Visitation for William Morris Elsea will be conducted on Saturday August 10, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with James Madden, Daniel Madden and Kelly Fields officiating. The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery located in Hazard, Kentucky.
