Wilma Jones

Wilma Jones born October 10, 1938 departed this life on Tuesday – August 25, 2026 being -87 years old. Wilma was born in Sixteenmile Creek, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Dewey Napier and the late Edna Pollard Napier. Other than her parents, Wilma was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Therman “Buck” Napier, and Herman “Pete” Napier.

Wilma retired from the United States Post Office in Dice, Kentucky.

Wilma leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband, Vernon Jones; daughter, Karen Sue Jones; son, Doug Jones; brother, Elmer Napier; sister, Thelma Napier Lipps; grandchildren, Destini Jones, Derek Jones, Dharma Jones; great-granddaughter, Harmony Jones; also, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Wilma Jones will be conducted on Friday – August 28, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Meril David Collins Officiating. The Interment will follow in the Southeast Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hyden, Kentucky. The Visitation will be held at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
